Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder

Children can have difficulty with attention, concentration and/or hyperactivity which can impact not only their learning but their social and emotional skills. An assessment of Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) involves investigating cognitive and behavioural functioning of a child. 


An assessment for ADHD will consist of:


  1. Parent initial consultation

  2. Parent behavioural assessment

  3. Teacher behavioural assessment

  4. Rapport session with child

  5. Cognitive assessment

  6. Liasion with teacher and other health professionals as required

  7. Report preparation

  8. Parent feedback consultation


Please note:

A formal diagnosis of ADHD must be made by a Paediatrician or Psychiatrist. Our services provide the cognitive assessment and ADHD screener which can support a formal diagnosis of ADHD.
